Description: Mindfulness through Shri Surya Namaskara
‘Shri Surya Namaskara’ is an ancient form of yogic exercise. Goal of the program is to attain body and mind integration through rhythmic breathing and other yogic techniques to achieve the full benefits of this ancient exercise. The objective of the program is to introduce a positive change in people’s lives. The program comprises of 6 individual classes where participants are guided on different positions, breathing technique and attention points (chakras) to attain the integration of body and mind and a state of ‘Thought free mind’. Proficiency Level: Intermediate Age qualification: 8 and above Enrollment Size: 20
Prerequisites: While there are no prerequisites for the program, it is necessary that the participant is in good physical and mental health to sustain the physical activity/exercise involved in the program. Participant will need to sign a liability waiver form to release the instructor and the temple authorities from any possible issues, that may occur in future, related to the health of the patient. By signing the form participant assumes the total responsibility for his/her health and any issues that may arise in future.
Apart from this participant will need to bring following items to the class: 1. Signed copy of temple liability waiver 2. Yoga mat 3. Driving hand-gloves – This is to help with the palm grip in different positions 4. New pair of socks – This is to help with foot grip in different positions 5. Loose comfortable yoga attire 6. Towel/Napkin 7. Water bottle/any additional fitness drink such as Gatorade

Bharatnatyam (Continuing class) Introduction to one of the most popular and widely performed dance forms of India. The students will learn all the Basic groups of steps(Adavus) and a couple of dance pieces taught by the senior students of a Bay area renowned Bharatnatyam teacher.
