College Applications Seminar College Applications: A Nightmare or a pleasant dream? Synopsis: College applications can be a well-planned, well thought out process. It doesn’t have to be a nightmare. The key is to plan ahead, have clear goals and follow the steps. College planning should begin as early as in the 9th grade. But there is hope for sophomores, juniors and seniors. The Seminar Provider will go through the process of planning for all grades, 9 through 12. The Provider will give pointers to the seniors who have a few more weeks for the application deadline. It’s not too late! The topic of essay writing will be covered in detail. The Provider will also touch upon the issue of the highly competitive dual degree medical programs. The Seminar Provider will be speaking out of extensive research and personal experience with their daughter. Chennai Relief Fund Sairam, As you are all aware there is a natural calamity going on in Chennai right now. Chennai has been hit with torrential rains and flooding causing a lot of disruption to life and property.
Here are some statistics:
1. About 270 lives were lost and the count is increasing.
2. Tens of thousands of people have lost their homes and have been displaced.
3. Water has invaded more homes than ever before in the city.
4. Chennai has received 3 times the regular rainfall rate in the month of November .
5. Financial loss is expected to cross 15000 crores.
They need as much help they can get from all possible corners.
Shirdi Sai Parivaar has initiated a disaster relief fundraising activity for Chennai floods. We have placed a hundi specifically to collect donations for the flood relief in the temple. Donations will also be accepted through our website www.shirdisaiparivaar.
Shirdi Sai Parivaar will also donate $3000 of its operating expenses for the flood relief.
The proceeds collected will be provided to a suitable non-profit or non-government organization that is involved in disaster relief. Please let us know if you know of any NPO or NGO’s involved in the same. Click here to provide your recommendation .
Please come forward and donate whatever you can for this noble cause. The citizens of Chennai can always benefit from our support as it will help them to get back on their feet.
