Shirdi Sai Parivaar has been participating in the food drives conducted by Second Harvest Food Bank for the past 5 years.
FY’2016 so far, we have donated close to 3168 lbs which is a record. We would like to thank all our devotees for participating in this noble cause. This is really a great achievement as providing food, especially for the underprivileged, is one of its top priorities.
2015 Updates
2011 & 2012 Updates
This is a year-long program that SSP conducts to meet the food demand of Second Harvest Food Bank. In order to facilitate this program, SSP has placed Second Harvest drop-off bins in the lobby, corridor and dining area at the Shirdi Sai Center. Devotees are encouraged to place non-perishable food items like (pasta, soup cans, cereals, macaroni and cheese packets etc.) in the cans. SSP volunteers sort the items to ensure that they meet the standards set by Second Harvest Food Bank. The items are collected on a regular basis by Second Harvest Food Bank representatives. In FY’2011 and 2012, with the support from our devotees and volunteers, SSP donated nearly 540 and 800 lbs of food respectively.
BOW TO SHRI SAI AND PEACE BE TO ALL
