Shirdi Sai Baba’s main philosophy has been to help and support the under privileged members of the society.  Keeping in line with Baba’s dictum, SSP, began the year 2012 with a fund raising event for Shree Ramana Maharshi Academy for the Blind (SRMAB), Bangalore, India.

SRMAB a non-profit organization from Bangalore, India, empowers nearly 300 visually impaired students. They provide free education, boarding, lodging, and several vocational training programs including dance and music.  Each year, these visually impaired artists travel around the world to showcase their talents and raise funds for their organization.  As part of this activity, they visited several cities in the early part of 2012.  SSP organized a fund raising event that comprised of several visually impaired artists from SRMAB.  The performance by the artists were scintillating and touching. As part of the fundraiser, SSP raised approximately $20,000 all of which was provided to SRMAB.

Similarly in 2005, SSP raised nearly $12,000 for Samarthanam, which also caters to visually impaired individuals
