SSP Carnatic Music Mela – Saturday, September 5th, 2026

SSP presents Fourth SSP Carnatic Mela with the theme Carnatic Banis showcasing Thematic presentations by schools to highlight Banis styles in Music – through Saint composers, Compositions, forms like thevaram Tiruppugazh, Divya Prabandham, Dasara Padas, Annamayya Sankeerthana, Astapadi , Tarangam , Bhadrachala Ramdas , Divyanama and Utsava Sampradaya kritis , thematic Compositions, Group Kritis , Kshetra Vaibhava Kritis , Festive occasion kritis like Navavarnam, Navarathri kritis, Bhajans and abhangs.
Short musicals or skits or Harikathas on great composers can be showcased . There will be musical exhibits showcasing these in stalls.

Also there will be Raga Repertoire , Carnatic Antakshari, Swara Or Laya Jam to be pre signed by participants . one Pattimandram or Music open house with students well planned with registered participants only for and against with the topic of Carnatic Banis through or in music – understanding Carnatic Banis as part of music.
