SUMMARY:SSP - Special Program for Seniors
DESCRIPTION:Sairam Saibandhu’s\,\n\n\nWith Sainath’s bountiful blessings\, the fourteen week pilot of the Senior program was a huge success and very well received amongst our Saibandhus. Hence Shirdi Sai Parivaar is indefinitely continuing this long term SSP visionary program. \nThe program will be on  Every Thursday from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM. The program is initially designed for 14 weeks and based on the participant’s engagement and feedback may be improved and extended on a permanent basis. \nThis Program has been designed to create a wholesome experience with activities specifically designed for seniors and also provide volunteering opportunities for willing seniors. Moreover\, an unlimited volunteering opportunity to all! \nThe agenda of the program will facilitate spiritual wellness and a social engagement with simple activities where seniors above 58 years\, will be able to participate and contribute. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nAgenda of the program is as follows: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDay \n\n\n Every Thursday \n\n\n\n\nProgram \n\nSpecial Program for Seniors\n\n\n\n9:30 AM to 10:00 AM \n\n\nCheck in (Tea/Coffee/Snack provided) \n\n\n\n\n10:00 AM to 10:15 AM \n\n\nPrayer & Agenda Review \n\n\n\n\n10:15 AM to 11:00 AM \n\n\nBhajans/SaiMahima/Stavanmanjari/ Sai naamavali /Sai Amritvani learning \n\n\n\n\n11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon \n\n\nYoga by Dr. Sachin and Wellness talk \n\n\n\n\n12:00 Noon \n\n\nMadhyan Aarti \n\n\n\n\n12:30 PM to 1:00 PM \n\n\nLunch \n\n\n\n\n1:00 PM to 2:00 PM \n\n\nGames/Fun Activities/Crafts (Group Activity) \n\n\n\n\n\n\nProgram will be conducted by our dedicated volunteers\, professional wellness champions\, health heroes and social workers. \nLike every service at SSP\, this program is offered at FREE of cost for our seniors.  Your donations and volunteering time make this possible. \nWe invite and look forward to all our Saibandhus to come and register and take advantage of this unique program. \nYour feedback is important to us\, to design & enrich this program in the long run. SUMMARY:SPP Annual Donation Drive for 2023-24 Year
DESCRIPTION:  \n \n\nShirdi Sai Parivaar is devoted to spreading the philosophy and teachings of Shirdi Saibaba. SSP is a volunteer based non profit\, with no employees on the payroll and all activities including Aarti’s are conducted by our volunteers round the year. All donations received from our devotees are completely spent on various activities related to operations and charity. We thank the devotees for your generous support.\n\n\n\n\nSSP is involved in various charitable activities and community services. We regularly do sandwich services and hot lunch services to several local homeless shelters and also do cooking services at the shelters. We have been serving dry rations to various local food pantries and also to animal shelters. \nWith the help of our volunteers and your support we distribute blankets\, back to school supplies and Holiday gifts to the less fortunate in the community.\n\n\nSSP has been continuing to provide need-based scholarships to the academically accomplished college students from Milpitas Unified School District. We are currently exploring the possibility of expanding these scholarships to other SF Bay communities. We are also actively pursuing on a plan to rollout scholarship programs for the needy based in India. We will make announcements on this in coming months. Additionally\, we provide various classes to kids and adults free of cost like languages\, arts\, yoga\, math Olympiad\, Vedic chants\, tailoring and more.\n\nWe are also proud to have initiated a weekly program since February 2023 aimed specially at serving our seniors in the community. Encouraged by the participation of the seniors in our Senior Care program covering wide variety of specialized activities like bhajan\, yoga\, meditation\, fun filled games\, health monitoring etc. we are actively working on expanding the program to multiple days in the week and establish a full-time dedicated Center for seniors.\n\n\n\nWe have been conducting free health fairs with several heath care services like Family medicine\, Oncology\, Endocrinology\, Cardiology\, Pediatrics\, Dentistry and more.\n\nPeriodically we also conduct blood drive\, bone marrow drive\, Flu & covid shot clinics with the help of our partners.\n\nSSP is focused on providing a safe and a better experience for our devotees at SSP by continuing to invest in facility related upgrades. We count on your volunteering hours as well as generous donations for running our operations and community programs at SSP. We are one of few nonprofits who spend your entire earmarked donation dollars towards Charity and Community programs\, without any additional overhead. Please donate generously and help us create more positive impact in line with Baba’s teachings.\n\nAnnadanam/Food Donation – Devotees can sponsor Annadanam by giving donation using link provided below. SSP will Procure food on behalf of devotees and will donate to Milpitas food pantry and Second Harvest Food Bank to serve homeless and needy people.
